The Lincoln County Wellness Center provides psychiatry, substance abuse and general counseling services for children and their families in Lincoln County.
The Missouri Foundation for Health approved a two year grant for the Wellness Center to operate. In January of 2004, the Wellness Center opened its doors to Lincoln County residents. Counselors from Preferred Family Healthcare, Catholic Family Services, and Crider Center for Mental Health provide counseling and psychiatric services. To date, the Wellness Center has served over 400 children and their families in our community.
This grant is scheduled to end on December 31, 2005 Due to continued support from organizations such as the Troy Kiwanis and the communites support of events like the Family Fun Festival held in August of 2005, the Wellness Center is funded to continue operations until April 2006.
This raffle will hlep support theWellness Center and its service into 2007. After April 2006, the Wellness Center will downsize its services, but is committed to continuing to serve the needs of kids and families in Lincoln County.
