Craft Show and Fall Festival
Story by Dave Zarro; photos by Linda Zarro |
Sacred Heart School hosted its 12th Annual Craft Show and Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15. Over 35 crafters, a turkey shoot, games, food and lots of people all made it a great event. Coordinator Kelly Mennemeyer was busy greeting people at the door, announcing door prize winners, and just making sure everything ran smoothly.
The parking lot was packed soon after the event began. Most of the booths were inside the building, but those who were set up outside got to enjoy one of the best October weekends Lincoln County has ever seen.

The face painting was fun for the kids, and the kettle corn smelled great! |

This was the first year that Cindy Cappel and Kathy Dickherber displayed their Advocare products. They were looking forward to the opportunity to share the benefits of their Spark Energy Drink. (Yes, it tasted good!)
Children and adults were all having a great time looking at all the craft projects. Creativity seems to come naturally to some people.

There was a lot of talent on display. Bryan, for example, takes an ordinary bottle cap and makes a Redneck Lure. These lures can be used for fishing or for display. They look like collector’s items, but they’re also functional.
Congratulations to Kelly and all those who worked with her to make this year’s Craft Show a tremendous success.
Also enjoying the beautiful fall colors of the trees and the great weather, were some soccer parents watching their girls move that ball down the field.
